Description:  L&C crew works Jones-Hamilton near Richburg. The 2866 is leading LHF in this shot because they had taken the LC 2829 from this train and added her to the Kershaw train. Before leaving for Chester, tis crew would put the 2866 on the other side of the train, still leading, but short hoot forward.

The middle unit was built as Conrail GP38-2 #8235 and was acquired by NS in the Conrail split with CSX. It's bracketed by two ex-Southern GP38ACs, both of whom are wearing their SOU numbers. While the #2829 has been chop nosed in recent years, #2866 retains her high short hood.
