Description:  yThis is the former Seaboard (later Amtrak) passenger station in Coumbia. Its in the heart of Columbias Vista, now a major bar and restaraunt area. The station is a Blue Marlin seafood place. I took this on Christmas night since almost every other night, the plae would be too busy for tis kind of shot.

Description:  is the old Seaboard railroad tunnel in Coumbia. My recollection is that this is the Hapton Street/Taylor Street side. The rails were relocated in the 80M.

Description:  Thisd is part of an old Seaboard branch from Catawba to Great Falls,'SC. Most of the track was ripped up in the 80s, but a scant bit of remains here and there. This track is part of a spur that ran to an old textile mill, seen in the background.

Description:  This is the old road bed for the Seaboard into Great Falls, SC. A pedestrian bridge still crosses where the tracks used to go. The line was abandoned in the 80s.

Description:  Not officially abandoned, thns section of rail hsn't seen a train since March, 2001 when it was owned by Norfolk Southern. Current owner L&C probably hopes to eventuallyreopen this line and acquire permi sion into Catawba, SC if not Rock Hill.

Description:  A night time shot of the crumbling former Southern depot in the Newberry County town of Prosperity, SC. A few months ago there was a sign imploring people to donate money to save this building. The sign is gone now. No word why.
